Written by Nikita Ganovicheff, 106.1 The Goat News

Alberta Fish and Wildlife officers are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who killed and left three deer in an area south of Vermilion.

Officers received a call on November 16 from a concerned hunter who found the deer west of Highway 41 on Township Road 494. Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement says witnesses heard shots in the area at around 4:30 p.m. and saw a truck in the area. The suspect drove up to one of the deer, didn’t get out of his vehicle and left the field.

The truck is a 2019 dark coloured Dodge Ram 1500 with bright white headlights, decals on the back window and could have a slip tank or a toolbox in the box. The suspect is described as a short man wearing a light coloured ball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Report a Poacher line at 1-800-632-3800 or submit an online report.
