A way to control Wolves and Coyotes across the MD of Bonnyville is back. The MD announced last week that the bounty program for the animals is underway as of November 1st.
The MD will pay hunters $15 per coyote carcass and $75 per wolf. The animals must be whole and verified by an MD worker at the Public Works shop north of Bonnyville. Signed permission from landowners is needed if hunting happens off of privately-owned property.
The bounties will be paid until March 31st. Last year the program started a little earlier, around the middle of October.
