The Lakeland coming together to remember Monday

Communities around the Lakeland will be coming together to remember on Monday. Remembrance Day ceremonies are being hosted around the region.

Bonnyville will meet at the Centennial Centre. The Bonnyville Legion Branch 183 says they hope to have everyone seated and ready to begin by 10:15 AM. A reception and other activities are then scheduled for after at the legion branch.

The Energy Centre will play host to a ceremony in Cold Lake. Cold Lake Legion Branch 211 and 4 Wing say seating begins at 10:30 followed by a parade and reception. They’re encouraging people to carpool and save parking space.

Meanwhile, St. Paul Legion Branch 100 is also hosting a ceremony. That one will take place starting at 10:30 at the St. Paul Rec Centre.

This year marks the 101st anniversary since World War One ended in 1918 and 75 years since the Normandy invasion in the Second World War.
