The Lakeland heads to the polls Monday. The federal election has arrived and residents in the area have the chance now to pick their Member of Parliament.
Two ridings are contested in the area. The Lakeland riding has seven candidates on the ballot. Meanwhile, Fort McMurray – Cold Lake has five different names to choose from.
Polls are open for 12 hours starting at 7:30 AM. Elections Canada says to bring any photo ID issued by the government like your driver’s license. More information on where to vote and what to bring is online.
Over 578,000 Albertans already cast a vote in advanced polling, says Elections Canada.
