5-year-old killed in accident at landfill

Mounties from Lac La Biche are still investigating after an accident at the Plamondon landfill left a five-year-old boy dead. It happened on Saturday afternoon.

Police say a boy was helping his father unload at the landfill when the boy was struck by his father’s truck. Police and emergency services were on scene quickly but the boy had died of his injuries.

Mounties are still investigating the cause of the accident with help from a Collision Reconstructionist. Victim Services is currently working with the family.

No charges have been laid as of yet. The Plamondon landfill remains closed as police complete their investigation.
