Mounties say impaired driving cause of wreck near Beaverdam

Cold Lake mounties say impaired driving was the cause behind an accident last weekend near Beaverdam. Police were called out on September 29th to Township Road 602 and Range Road 430A after a lone truck wrecked.

The RCMP says two occupants in the truck had to be cut out using the Jaws of Life. Both were airlifted to an Edmonton hospital via STARS with serious injuries.

The driver, a 19-year-old Kehewin resident, is facing charges of impaired driving as well as other charges.
