A new program to help with students with school bus safety is debuting this month in the Lakeland. Northern Lights Public Schools says “rideSafe” will teach students about general school bus safety, rider responsibilities, bus rules, and how to evacuate a bus safely.
The program is a mix of classroom discussion as well as practical exercises. The program is tailored to kids in Kindergarten to Grade 6.
The first classes are expected to be taught at the end of October. That’s also “School Bus Safety” week across the province.
