Cold Lake group of 20 shares $100,000

When Lisa Watier found out that the LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket she shared with 19 co-workers won $100,000, she only had one reaction. “I thought, ‘I need to call somebody!’” she said. “I was just freaking out!” The group regularly buys their weekly tickets at Mac’s Convenience Store, located at 1414 8 Avenue in Cold Lake.

They won on the June 26 EXTRA draw. The lucky group includes other members Brent Harrison, Cory Randall, Jean-Philippe Roy, Samantha Loiselle, Austin Wenger, Justin Bechtel, Kyle Strzepek, Randy Kwiatkowski, Layne Greenwood, Debora Philips, Peggy Dow, Kelsey Watier, Guy Gilbert, Roland Proulx, Brent Compagna, Philip Grassick, Alton Miller, Matthew Wright, and Judy Mickalyk.

As for their plans for the winnings, the winners have a few different ideas, including paying tuition, paying bills, and going on a vacation.
