A child from Cold Lake was part of a celebration of youth in the province. 10-year-old Mylon McArthur was one of the recipients of Alberta’s “Great Kids Awards” held in Edmonton on Sunday.
McArthur is the creator of a Youtube video that denounces bullying after he was bullied for his long hair. His video has been viewed over a million times.
Winners got a nights’ stay in the Fantasyland Hotel in West Edmonton Mall as well as trophy and invitation to the ceremony. 15 other youth were honoured with awards.
The honours have been handed out since the very first awards show back in 1999.
