NLPS hands out awards to friends of education

Three longtime supporters of education in the Lakeland were recently honoured. The Northen Lights Public School Board handed out their 2019 “Friends of Education” awards over the long weekend to Kristen Shewchuk, Dr. Mohammad Al-Bekai and Steve Charlton.

Shewchuk and Al-Bekai are from Lac La Biche while Charlton is an auctioneer from Cold Lake. He’s been helping the Art Smith Aviation Academy art auction for the past five years.
