The newest festival in the City of Cold Lake is being called a roaring success. The very first Feast at the Beach was held at Kinosoo Beach over the long weekend.
The days featured live music and an assortment of food trucks and beverages along with some warm weather that seemed to be a rarity around the Lakeland this summer. Cold Lake Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Sherri Buckle says early numbers are showing how popular the weekend was.
“Our attendance was pretty much double what we had hoped for. We were expecting about 3,000 to 5,000 for the whole weekend and we were closer to the 10,000 mark.”
92,000 tickets for food and drinks were sold over the two-day festival. Buckle says she can already answer the question of if Feast at the Beach will be back in 2020 with an affirmative yes.
“It is absolutely going to be returning and we are already starting to plan for next year.”
