St. Paul mounties investigating mailbox break-ins

St. Paul Police are putting out warnings after a string of mailbox break-ins in the area. Mounties say on August 16th they were alerted to some tampered boxes in town. On the 19th some more mailboxes were broken into in Lafond. The next day more boxes were broken into in St. Paul.

The RCMP are still investigating. They say residents can help by checking their mailbox every day and reporting suspicious behaviour.

“It’s important to check your mailbox on a regular basis so as not to leave anything of value inside for would-be criminals” says Sgt. David Graham of the St. Paul RCMP.

Anyone with info on the crimes can call the St. Paul detachment at 780-645-8888 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
