Chase ends with two arrested near Garner Lake

A team of mounties from across the Lakeland say they’ve arrested two men after a car chase through the region. The RCMP says on August 20th they were tipped off that a stolen SUV was driving down Highway 866 near McRae.

Police tried to pull the vehicle over but it took off. A short chase was stopped near Garner Lake after mounties became worried for public safety.

Police say they found the SUV abandoned a short time later. Mounties, including the Cold Lake Police Dog, tracked down the two occupants quickly after.

23-year-old Chad Gladue and 29-year-old Sandra Cardinal now face charges including possession of property obtained by a crime. Both were in St. Paul Provincial Court on August 22nd.
