Missing senior found after city search

Cold Lake mounties say teamwork was what made the difference in the search for an elderly woman. The RCMP says they were tipped off that the woman was missing on August 8th. Mounties, Cold Lake Bylaw officers and local Search and Rescue personnel began a wide search that included ATVs and foot patrols.

Several hours later the woman was found safe in a neighbouring backyard.
Corporal Sean Dutch of the Cold Lake RCMP states “the overwhelming number of volunteers from the community that assisted with the search on short notice is a testament to the tight-knit community atmosphere of Cold Lake, and was very much appreciated”.
