The Bonnyville RCMP are still investigating after a pair of non-related incidents near town resulted in deaths last Friday. Mounties are saying they were first called out at around 8 AM to the scene of an accident at Range Road 460. Police believe a car drove off the road and hit some bushes on the way into the ditch. A 68-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A child who was riding in the car at the time was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
At 5 PM that same day mounties were called to Tucker Lake after a side-by-side rolled over. Emergency crews found the 15-year-old driving the unit had also died. Three other children that were riding on the side-by-side were taken to hospital.
Bonnyville RCMP says their investigation into the incidents is continuing.
