Bonnyville, Cold Lake chambers receive municipal grants

Bonnyville council has added both the Bonnyville and Cold Lake Chamber of Commerce to the list of organizations which will receive yearly cash through the Community Action Grant. the Community Association Operating and Capital Grant funds.

Both chambers received $15,000 in grant funding, on top of a $2,000 membership fee for the 2019 fiscal year.

In a written statement, the MD of Bonnyville says the addition of the two chambers puts them on a level playing field, ” funding the M.D. provides halls, museums, agricultural societies and community associations, as well as providing clear guidelines for available funding.”

The money is earmarked for not-for-profits in the M.D of Bonnyville from the Community Association Operating and Capital Grant.
