Frenchman sentencing due for Thursday

A man found guilty of second-degree murder charges will learn his fate on Thursday. Frank James Frenchman was originally due to be sentenced in April for his role in the death of Bonnyville senior Alfred Wagner back in 2016. His legal team successfully had sentencing postponed due to a late Gladue report.

Frenchman was convicted in a trial back in March. His sister Arizona Frenchman is currently serving a five-year sentence for her role in the crime.

Second-degree murder convictions carry a mandatory life sentence in Canada. It is not known when Frenchman will be eligible for parole.
