North Saskatchewan River is Experiencing Low Levels

The North Saskatchewan River is the lowest it’s been in 14 years. All across Alberta Agricultural experts are proclaiming the province is in a drought -the North Saskatchewan showing extremely low level all but confirms it.

A combination of less snow and spring rain in the upper reaches of the mountains and foothills has the North Saskatchewan River at its lowest levels since 2001. Despite the low levels, officials with Alberta Environment say the North Saskatchewan river is big and can handle the lower levels, and the fluctuations levels seen from year to year.
