Mounties catch man breaking into Saddle Lake school

Mounties in St. Paul are saying they’ve arrested a man after catching him in the act of breaking into a Saddle Lake school. Police say they were on patrol on July 10th when they spotted a man making his way into a portable at Onchaminahos School.

The man tried to run away but the cops gave chase and arrested him. Nothing was thought to be missing from the classroom.

Mounties have charged 35-year-old Adrian Cardinal with breaking and entering with intent to commit theft. The RCMP says he was also carrying an “imitation sword” when he was arrested as well as keys to the school reported missing back on July 2nd.
