A 57 year old woman has died as a result of a collision outside of Ashmont. RCMP from St. Paul responded to a collision on Highway 28, about 5 kilometers west of Ashmont on Saturday, July 18th, 2015.
At approximately 1:00pm, a pickup truck, with a 29 year old male driver, was travelling east when it stopped waiting to turn left. An SUV, also travelling east, struck the truck from behind.
The 57 year old female driver of the SUV died as a result of the collision. Two passengers from the SUV were transported to St. Therese Hospital in St. Paul, where they were later released. The driver of the pickup did not have any injuries from the collision.
