Intoxicated man kicked peace officer: Bonnyville Mounties

A 44-year-old man from Beaumont has found himself in trouble in the Lakeland after an incident at Minnie Lake Campground. Mounties from Bonnyville say they were called out on June 29th to help after a man was threatening other campers while drunk.

The RCMP says the man threatened to kill another camper’s dog and then proceeded to kick an MD of Bonnyville police officer. He now faces charges including assault of a peace officer.

He’s due in court on July 23rd.
