Second Junior-A level team for Cold Lake announced

The Energy Centre in Cold Lake will host not one, but two Junior A-level teams next season, says both the city and the Western States Hockey League. The WSHL confirmed Friday that another franchise will play for their league out of Cold Lake. The news comes about three weeks after the announcement that the Cold Lake Wings and the Western Provinces Hockey Association would be leaving the WSHL for the Canadian-based Greater Metro Hockey League.

The new team has not been named and will join in the WSHL Provincial Division with other clubs in Barrhead, Meadow Lake and Hinton. The WSHL says the new season should be ready to go for October.
