A few communities in the Lakeland will ring in Canada Day with a display of Royal Canada Air Force muscle. The RCAF announced Friday that Cold Lake and Elk Point will both get a fly-over of the CF-188 Hornet during their Canada Day celebrations.
The flyovers will be done different times throughout Monday. Planes are expected to fly about 500 feet above the nearest obstacles on the ground.
This is the 36th Canada Day that the CF-188 has celebrated as the main fighter in the RCAF arsenal.
