St.Paul town council is facing a heftier bill for the updates on the water treatment plant. Bids for the job have come in about $3 million dollars over the $11.1 million budgeted for the job back in 2016.
Construction on the plant was originally set to begin earlier this year. Grants from the government say the project has to be done by March of 2020 to receive funding.
Council says it will be turning to provincial politicians like Bonnyville – Cold Lake – St. Paul MLA Dave Hanson to see where the project could head next.
