Glendon School will be hosting a very special groundbreaking on Tuesday. The school is set to put shovels in the ground on their “Green and G.O.L.D” outdoor track and field facility.
The project includes an eight-lane paved track, two baseball diamonds, a soccer/football field, tennis and pickleball courts among other amenities. Total cost on the build is pegged at about $1.1 million. Northern Lights Public Schools says $840,000 of that has been secured but fundraising is still ongoing for the rest.
A barbecue, bake sale and car wash to help raise funds are all on tap for Tuesday to help raise money for the project.
