A Cold Lake man is facing charges after an incident involving gunfire near Fishing Lake. Mounties from Elk Point say they were called out to the Fishing Lake area at lunchtime on June 3rd. Witnesses say shots were fired outside a home before a white truck fled the scene.
The truck was later spotted in the Elizabeth Metis Settlement about an hour later by Cold Lake police. It attempted to take off but mounties got it stopped with a spike strip after a short chase. The driver was later caught in a nearby home by the police dog.
29-year-old Evan Gladue now faces 12 charges including careless use of a firearm. He’s due in Cold Lake Provincial Court on June 19th.
