Mounties in the Lakeland and other parts across the province are urging drivers to share the road this summer. The RCMP says as the weather turns nicer more drivers of cars, trucks and heavy tractor-trailers will be out on the highways.
Police are urging everyone to remember to keep safe stopping distances between each other. The RCMP says 38 accidents involved semis and vehicles last year, with 42 people dying as a result.
Police say they’ll be out in full force enforcing the rules throughout the summer months.
