County of St. Paul issues fire ban

The County of St. Paul is now under a fire ban. The ban came into effect at 11 AM on Thursday. All fire permits are now cancelled and no open fires are allowed in campgrounds or anywhere else. Propane grills and gas-powered fire pits are still allowed during the ban.

The new rules are active across the county with the exception of the Town of St. Paul. The town has the ability to issue its own fire ban outside of the county.

Questions on the fire ban can be fielded by calling the County of St. Paul office at 780-645-3301.
