The journey towards a dog park in Bonnyville took a leap forward Tuesday night. Bonnyville Town Council was presented with the idea of an off-leash park just south of 47th Avenue. Town administration says the park would be located close to the Bonnyville Rodeo Grounds.
The concept would be a 22,000 square metre off-leash area. Town administration says they’d also plan to one day have agility equipment and other areas for canine guests.
$40,000 for the park was set aside in budget deliberations last December. A date for construction of the park hasn’t been set.
