Cold Lake announces parking hearing

The City of Cold Lake is hoping to hear from residents when it comes to parking downtown and on the Lakeshore. A public hearing is in the works that will allow the public the right to discuss the current idea of relaxing the bylaws.

The current laws are being seen by the city council as a deterrent to growth in new businesses in the area. A new bylaw would create what is known as “parking overlays,” or zones that would eliminate the restrictions and help businesses.

The public hearing will be held May 14th during the regular council meeting. More information on the meeting is at the City of Cold Lake website.
