Cold Lake mounties looking for suspects after cruiser hit

The RCMP in Cold Lake are looking for help finding the people responsible after a police cruiser was hit. Mounties say the incident took place in the Elizabeth Metis Settlement on Saturday. A police cruiser on patrol spotted a vehicle from a previous run-in with cops sitting in a driveway. When the mountie turned his lights on the vehicle fled, hitting the cruiser in the process. The officer wasn’t hurt during the ordeal.

The RCMP says they later found the car on fire. The driver and any passengers have not been found. Mounties say anyone who may have an idea of who they are should call the Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3301 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
