It’s all over but the clean-up: Signs gone in 72 hours

With the election over, the clean-up must begin says Elections Alberta. Political signs were a common sight around the Lakeland for the last two and a half weeks. Under the rules of the province, the signs must be removed within three days of the Tuesday vote. Candidates and/or their parties may face fines if the signs aren’t cleaned up on time.

The 2019 election was an inflamed one for political signage. Earlier in the month the RCMP reminded people that vandalizing the signs could come with a price. Reports of signs being broken and stolen were spread across the province.
