The Lakeland heads to the polls tomorrow

The Lakeland will head to the polls tomorrow for the 2019 Provincial Election. Polling places will be open from 9 AM until 8 PM across the province. Ballots can be cast at the Centennial Centre in Bonnyville, Cold Lake Seniors Centre in Cold Lake, St. Paul Rec Centre in St. Paul and other spots across the region. A complete list of voting locations is available at the Elections Alberta webpage.

Over 690,000 voters cast their ballots early during Advanced Polling last week, says Elections Alberta. That’s up from the 235,000 that made their mark during the 2015 election. 492 people voted for a candidate in Bonnyville – Cold Lake – St. Paul while they were away from the riding. Elections Alberta says those votes will be counted in the days after the election.

Votes will be tallied after the polls close at 8 PM. Announcements of winners are expected later Tuesday evening.
