St. Paul mounties say stolen truck took off twice

St. Paul mounties say a Saddle Lake woman now faces charges after police followed the trail of a stolen vehicle through the county. Police say on April 9th they spotted a truck matching one stolen earlier in the morning. When cops tried to pull it over it sped off. A chase was not initiated at the time due to public safety.

Later on mounties say they spotted the truck again in St. Brides. Again police tried to pull it over but it fled, almost hitting a police cruiser. Mounties were able to track the truck down to a property in Saddle Lake where they finally arrested the driver and passengers.

The RCMP says 23-year-old Aleigha Omeasoo now faces a slew of charges including two counts of flight from police. She was also wanted on a variety of outstanding warrants. She is in police custody and made her first court appearance on April 11th.

A 21-year-old man from Lac La Biche as well as a 22-year-old woman from Saddle Lake will also face charges. Their names have not been released.
