Cold Lake mounties are releasing some details about the accident on Highway 28 near Casino Dene on Saturday. Emergency crews were called out to the scene at around 11:30 am on April 6th near Range Road 424 after a grey van heading eastbound collided with a tanker truck heading westbound. Mounties are saying the driver of the van was killed in the accident.

The driver of the tanker truck was not hurt. Police are not releasing the name of the victim. They say their investigation into the cause of the accident continues. Cold Lake Victims Services is currently working with the deceased driver’s family.

An RCMP Collision Analyst team is working on the case.
