Cold Lake residential streets are getting ready for their first spring sweep. The city announced Wednesday that the first street sweeps would be arriving a little earlier than usual. Mayor Craig Copeland says a nice spring melt played a part in the decision.
“That first sweep is pretty important, and right now we’re a bit earlier than compared to last year. So long as the weather holds out, crews should be able to get to work on residential sweeping over the next few weeks.”
A schedule of all the areas road crews will cover was released as well. Any updates to the schedule or weather cancellations will be posted to Cold Lake’s Facebook page.
As with other years, residents are encouraged to move their vehicle from the road to help get the street completely clean.
