Saddle Lake calls election for June

The Saddle Lake Cree Nation will go to the polls in June and select their Chief and Council. An election has been called that will see council members elected on June 12th and Chief selected June 19th.

Eddy Makokis has been Chief of the band since 1997. Nominations are being accepted on May 29th. All voting is expected to take place at the Ayiwakes Cultural Centre. The term for the council and chief is three years.
