NLPS starts using school absence app

Parents will have a new tool when it comes to school absences at public schools. Northern Lights Public Schools has announced the roll-out of the new program “Safe Arrival”. The new system lets parents report absences through an app, online on a webpage or by a toll-free number.

The program also keeps track of unreported absences and alerts parents when they occur. The program was up and running as of March 4th at Duclos School, H.E. Bourgoin Middle School and Bonnyville Centralized High School. Other schools haven’t been announced yet and absences there can be reported through the school offices.

The program is available to use 24/7. More information on the program is at its official website.
