Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Cold Lake

The Cold Lake RCMP responded to a crash on highway 28 near 16th street in Cold Lake, in the late afternoon on June 6th. A 46 year old man transported to the Cold Lake hospital after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a light post. The driver died as a result of serious injuries. Police are continuing the investigation but believe speed, safety equipment and alcohol are contributing factors in the collision.

There have been five people killed in motorcycle collisions, over the past weekend, in the Province. Including this fatality, there has been two fatal motorcycle collisions in The Lakeland since the beginning of June. The other collision, on June 1st, claimed the life of a 41 year old man.
