Police arrest five after shots fired, chase near Cold Lake

Cold Lake RCMP say five people are now facing charges after shots rang out and a chase near the city. Mounties say on March 10th they were called out to Range Road 420 after reports that a vehicle had been shot at by a passing truck. Police say nobody was hurt during the entire ordeal. Mounties say they located the truck and tried to pull it over but it took off. After a brief chase the truck ended up getting stuck and the occupants tried to run. Mounties say they tracked the suspects down and arrested them with help from a police dog.

19-year-old Tealyn Marten, 20-year-old Cody Spence, 19-year-old Vanessa Gabriel, 34-year-old Peter Hamelin and 24-year-old Shane Weekley now face charges including flight from police and careless use of a firearm. Police say the truck they were driving in was stolen.

All five suspects are due in Cold Lake Provincial Court on March 13th
