St. Paul animal shelter back in business March 4th

The St. Paul Animal Shelter is readying for a grand re-opening in the first week of March. Construction on a brand new shelter is almost finished. The previous building was demolished after a storm damaged it beyond repair in 2016. Since then the group has been fundraising and applying for grants to help in construction.

The new shelter is at Range Road 105 and Highway 29. It features a quarantine room for sick animals as well as facilities for staff members working in the building. A Quonset on the property will be used to house dog guests. It is currently being renovated and isn’t expected to be ready for opening day.

The shelter expects to open its doors on March 4th. In the meantime, updates towards opening day can be found on the organizations Facebook page.
