Pontiacs players, coach in running for AJHL awards

The Alberta Junior Hockey League has announced its award finalists for the 2018-2019 regular season and a few Bonnyville Pontiacs are in the running. Defenceman Luke Albert has been named an Outstanding Defenceman award finalist while Colby Muise earned a nod for Top Goaltender and Head Coach Rick Swan for Coach of the Year.

The Bonnyville Pontiacs are in the middle of a turnaround season. The club has gone 39-10-4 this year and led the AJHL North division since the beginning of 2019. This after a 2017-2018 campaign that saw them finish 28-32-8 and lose in the first round of the playoffs to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons.

The winners of the awards will be selected in the final week of the AJHL season after a final round of voting between players and general managers.
