Cross country skiers in the MD will be able to warm up along the trail. the MD announced Friday that the cabin at Muriel Lake MD Park is open for use this season. The stop allows skiers to warm up and rest inside the heated lodge.
Skiers wanting to use the cabin have to call ahead to the parks office. That’s because the cabin has a PIN-verified security system in place. Calls can be made Monday to Friday.
The cabin also features an outdoor fire pit to warm up and heat up a trail snack. The parks office can be reached at 780-826-3972.
