The intern results of the Provincial Accountability Pillar have been released to the Northern Lights School Division (NLSD).

Recently, NLSD was part of a large provincial survey which questioned various school stakeholders, such as; staff, teachers, students, and parents. The survey was used to determine on how well the division was doing in various fields, such as school environment, technology, accessibility, teacher ability, learning ability, etc.

Nicole Garner, Communications Officer for NLSD, says some results have been shared and the board is happy with the intern results. “We’re quite pleased with the results we had for areas where we improved significantly,” Garner lists one these areas off, “Safe & Caring, are parents and students and staff continue to think our schools provide a safe & caring environment.” Garner continues, “we improved in Quality of Education, in Work Preparation, and in School Improvements.”

The full results will be released in October, which will include provincial achievement tests (PATs) and Diploma exams, as well as, graduation and dropout rates.
