Mounties say 49-year-old man’s death a homicide

Police in Cold Lake have released the name of the man found dead near English Bay on Tuesday. Mounties are saying they found 49-year-old Darren Reid inside a home after responding to a call of gunshots in the Cold Lake First Nation. An autopsy was conducted in Edmonton and the RCMP is now ruling his death to be a homicide.

Mounties are still looking for anyone who may have been in the English Bay area between 1 and 4 am on January 29th to come forward. Tips can be provided to the Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
