Cold Lake crash sends three to hospital

The Cold Lake RCMP are still investigating after a crash in the city sent three people to the hospital. Mounties say the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 28 and 55 early Thursday afternoon. A car and a truck were both involved.

Police say the female driver of the car had to be airlifted to an Edmonton hospital with what mounties are calling serious life-threatening injuries. Her two passengers, a man and a woman, were taken to Cold Lake hospital. The occupants in the truck were not hurt.

The RCMP says its collision analysts team is still investigating. Mounties are asking anyone who may have seen the accident happen to come forward. Tips can be submitted to the RCMP by calling 780-594-3302.
