The Agriplex inside the C2 is steaming ahead towards a facelift. The space, which is currently used by Stampede Bingo as their home, is being prepped for renovations by the Centennial Centre board of directors. The plan is to install a new multi-use sports floor and an upper-deck viewing area among other upgrades.
The C2 board recently applied for a Community Facility Enhancement Program grant from the province. Should it be greenlit, up to $125,000 in funding may be provided. The board will be required to match the funding in order to receive it.
As for Stampede Bingo, their search for a new home continues. The plan to see more use out of the Agriplex was originally brought forward in the summer of 2018.
