Mounties in Lac La Biche are trying to paint a clearer picture of just what happened in a standoff Monday. Police say on January 27th at 4pm they were called to the Holowachuk Estates area after shots rang out. Nobody was hurt in the entire ordeal.
Mounties had the area under lockdown until about 11 am the next day. That’s when police arrested 43-year-old Darren Emile Cadieux. The RCMP says a search on the home turned up five guns as well.
Cadieux now faces charges including multiple counts of discharge of a firearm with intent. He’ll stay with police and see St. Paul Provincial Court on January 31st.
