St. Paul Mounties arrest November break-in suspect

The RCMP in St. Paul says an arrest has been made after a pair of break-ins last year. Mounties say on January 24th they were searching for a suspect they believe was tied to the smash and grabs at both the Boston Pizza and bingo hall in town last November. Police say when they caught up to the suspect and attempted to pull him over he took off.

He eventually ditched his vehicle and tried to run into a home. That’s where mounties caught him and arrested him without any incident. 24-year-old Francis Cardinal of Saddle Lake was previously wanted on charges including possession of property obtained by a crime. He faces new charges stemming from the break-ins and is due in St. Paul Provincial Court on February 14th.

The St. Paul RCMP say they’re still investigating the break-ins.
