An exhibit on the Sixties Scoop will make a stop in St.Paul. “Bi-Giwen: Coming Home – Truth Telling from the Sixties Scoop” is a collection of information and testimonials from victims of the program that resettled Indigenous children with mostly non-Indigenous families. The program was used across Canada from the 1950s to the 1980s.
On February 12th the exhibit will be showcased in St. Paul. Blue Quills First Nation College is the tentative host. An announcement of a confirmed venue is expected later on. Other stops for the presentation include Edmonton, Calgary and Fort McMurray. The exhibit is a partnership between the Sixties Scoop Indigenous Society of Alberta and Legacy of Hope Foundation.
